We started this
business about four
years ago.  I (Theresa)
made some brittle one
day from a recipe I had
found.  When Rick (who
you see to your left)
tried it he thought, "This
is really good."  So he
decided he wanted to
try his hand at it.  He worked with my recipe and
changed a few things.  Then it was really good.  He
took it to the fire station where he worked and they
tried it.  They knew he was on to something good.
We started making it for friends and family.  Soon people were saying, "You
should sell this."  Thus Rick's Brittle was born.  Our logo was drawn by one of
Rick's fellow firefighters.
Since this time Rick has retired from the fire department and now works at
a local hospital in the education department.  Theresa stays at home and
keeps everything up to date with the brittle business.
We go to craft fairs during the fall and
spring months.  You can always check
our website to see what fair we will be at.
We recently had a article written about
us in the local newspaper.  Rick's dream
for the business is to be able to give
back.  We hope to one day be able to
set up a fund for children of firefighters
who died while their children are still
young.
